i have a bunch of carrots, celery and a red pepper in the fridge, and we are going out of town tomorrow. can i freeze them so that they don't go bad? any special directions? thanks!
Everything the other posters said and make sure that your produce is very dry when you freeze it. Also, I have found that pyrex freezes things better than plastic bags. I have not tried vacuum sealing things, but that probably works well too.

Yes this. If you do use plastic bags - try to get as much air out as possible before freezing.
