Hilton Head...

Hi ladies!! Can some of you help me plan our trip to HH? We are going June 30-July 5 and we are looking for a good, reasonably priced hotel. We would like to be in a good location on the beach. Any and all advice would be great! We have never been.

Re: Hilton Head...

  • You picked a GREAT time to visit!!! It will be busy on the Island, but there are also SO many activities you don't want to miss out on.

First, a place to stay...The Hilton Ocean Front located in Palmetto Dunes.  https://www.hiltonoceanfrontresort.com/ 23 Ocean Lane, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928

    Phone: (843) 842-8000 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              (843) 842-8000      end_of_the_skype_highlighting

They are RIGHT on the beach, and centrally located on the Island.I'm not sure what the going rates are, but I could ask the Food & Bev manager Raymond Toups if there are any deals for that week.

The hotel is close to shopping a GREAT restaurant on site HH Prime and July 4th fireworks!!! Shelter Cove should have fire works again this year, which is just across 278 from you. ( 278 is the main drag on the Island)

I'm in the wine business so let me know if you need restaurant recommendations, or anything else the comes to mind.

I'll be seeing Raymond this week, I'll be sure to ask him for any deals!

Hope this is of help!! I'm so glad you visiting the Island for the first time. You will LOVE it. I've been here 10 years ;-)

  • we are going this month and I'm so excited! We're staying in Palmetto Dunes. (there are a bunch of different condos by private owners and you can rent through companies). We went through vrbo.com.

  • I live in Hilton Head...I really don't know too much about the hotels.  But, The Westin in Port Royal is nice. I do know a lot about the restaurants though.  Let me know if you need recommendations for that!  :)  Also, the weather is beautiful right now, but if you do happen to get a yucky day, there is a great children's museum called The Sandbox on Pope Avenue and a fun indoor playrgound just off the island in The Bridge Center.  Let me know if I can help in any other way! --Lindsay
  • Update- we just returned from an awesome week!

We stayed at Palmetto Dunes- at Captain's Walk (condo building). We rented through VRBO.com (they use Resort Rentals of HHI). Our condo building was right in between the Marriott and the Hilton. We had an amazing view.  You may be able to find something if you search VRBO, it was so great to have a huge condo and washer/dryer, 2 bathrooms, ect.
