The most insensitive comment I received...

The most insensitive comment that I have received and surely will ever receive was by one of the partners at the firm I work at. 

When we were going through all of the testing to see if the baby was ok, he told me if my baby was a "fvcking retard" I better "get rid of it!" 

Then he went on and on about how his brother was a "fvcking retard" and it made the whole family's life hell. 

I was stunned.  Seriously stunned into silence.

    OMG I think my jaw just broke.  That is unbe-***-lievable.  I would have seriously throat-punched him. What a total douche.

    yeah definitely deserves a throat punch, can't you report him to someone. Like an ethics board or something.
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    Looking back on it, I wish I would have.  But it was so surreal... I mean who actually says that?  I was so shocked and just sat there in disbelief.

    WOW! I would have reported him. That really makes my heart hurt. I'm sorry you have to know someone as insensitive and heartless as him. If you ever need me to kick his a$$, please feel free to let me know, I'm sure I could find some other friends to help me. ((HUGS))

    I did tell the other partner about it and he was so mad.  He wanted to confront him about it, I don't know if he did.  I told him I just wanted to be left alone.

    Tell him you're really glad that kind of testing wasn't available when his mom was pregnant with him. What what would we have ever done without him?

    I am so sorry...what a horrible, horrible thing for anyone to say...much less anyone who has any intelligence!!!  I hope he never has a child with a disability!!!  People like that pisses me off!!!  That was your baby...no matter what!!!

    You know I'll come throat punch him for you!!!!  Just let me know when and where!!!

    1st pregnancy: BFP- 6/28/09 - Found out we lost our little girl on 10/9/09 at 19w 4d - D&E- 10/14/09

    June 2010, corrective surgery for Septate Uterus and large fibroids

    2nd pregnancy: BFP- 10/18/10 - Slow rising, non-doubling HCGs, no heart beat. Non-viable pregnancy, D&C- 11/12/10

    Started Metformin 6/30/11, Started Clomid 7/20/11 - Unsuccessful

    HSG and Laparoscopic surgery revealed blocked tubes and lots of scar tissue...IVF here we come!!!

    Surprise BFP naturally!!! IT'S A BOY!!!

    Wow.  I at least thought people who called those with disabilities names were people who had never really known anyone like that.  I guess I was wrong.  Talk about no compassion.
