intro (factor V leiden & lovenox)

I just wanted to introduce myself. I just got a BFP yesterday and hope to be spending a long 9 months here!! 

In 2008 I was diagnosed with heterozygous Factor V Leiden. I have not had any clots myself, my brother did, and I was subsequently tested. I have been on baby aspirin since then and will be on Lovenox throughout this pg. I had a m/c in November at 5 1/2 wks. Before the m/c my OB had already given me the Rx for 40mg of Lovenox daily and after the m/c she said to go ahead and start it as soon as I had a positive test. So I started it last night!

I have an appt. Tues. with a RE. I had actually already been scheduled for the consult before my BFP due to irregular cycles. So I guess it will be good to go ahead and be seen by her and have her check my betas and my progesterone--just so I know that everything is ok!!

Looking forward to hearing everyone's stories and learning from all of you.

diagnosed with heterozygous Factor V Leiden 2008; m/c 11/09 @ 5 1/2 wks; m/c 5/10 @ 4 1/2 wks; RLP testing done, diagnosed with antiphospholipid syn. and low progesterone; 7/10 started on Heparin injections & progesterone supps @ 3 dpo, BFP 8/9/10!!! Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker BabyFetus Ticker

    Congrats on your pregnancy!  I'm also heterozygous for FVL and have been on Lovenox since about 12 weeks.  Things have been going well so far, I'm a little over 34 weeks now. 

    This is a great board, lots of ladies with clotting disorders, on Lovenox, etc. and everyone is always really helpful to answer any quesitons.  Good luck!  :)

    Congrats on your pregnancy!

     This is my second pregnancy on lovenox (my son was born last March with no problems), and the injections do get easier!

     

    Here's hoping for an uneventful pregnancy!
