Bottle to Sippy

What did you all do? Did you just start putting formula in the sippy? I dont plan on doing juice or milk till at least 12 mo. I have put water in them and she will take a couple of sips and can hold it. I know I need to be decreasing her formula/bottles in general.   TIA

    We started with the sippy at around 6 months. Abby doesn't like drinking her milk out of it, but will drink water/juice out of it just fine. I offer her the sippy with milk every time...hoping one day she will just drink it. :o)

    We started the introducing the sippy around 4 months (gasp!)

    He was fully weaned from the bottle at 9.5 months, he now takes milk or water fine out of his sippy at mealtime and at daycare.  He never cared where the milk came from though (breast, bottle, or cup), just as long as he was eating!  We started with these:

    I try to give the sippy cup whenever he's eating a meal to associate  solids with the cup....I haven't tried giving him milk in the sippy yet, just water w/ a splash of apple juice usually.  So I think I'll start doing the milk in it soon.
