Babysitter Prices

So we've never had to pay a sitter because family has always watched our LO.  What do you pay your sitters?

    we pay my MIL $20/day for both of them, which I think is really cheap

    I reread your post, and I think you might be talking about a night out or something, not daycare...sorry!

    My aunt watches them and they don't have much money so I would never expect her to do it for free.  I'm happy to help supplement their income and we pay $3 an hour per child.

    the going rate around here is like 10/hour per child, i think.

    ETA: it wold make sense that it would not go up that much per child.  i think my friends are overpaying their babysitters.

    That is a great deal.  Around here I would expect to pay 10 per hour with two kids, 12 for three.

    I know some girls that babysit for $10hr $1 more for each additonal child.
