DH is not coming with me to our first u/s.

He can't get off work to come with me, and I'm sad!

I asked my mom to come since I don't know how I would hold Audra and have it done at the same time. I kind of have mixed feelings about her going though, not that I don't want her there, I just would rather have DH in case something is wrong.

Today is starting off crappy:(

    That sucks. My Dh couldn't make it to the 1st US for our 2nd either, I went alone as MIL watched DD. I had to go for am emergency US at 18 wks when the dr still couldn't find the HB with the doppler and at the last minute DH couldn't get out of work so I had a girl firend come with me instead just in case something was wrong. Turned out everything was fine but really hoping DH can make it to our 20 wk US so we can find out if it is a boy or girl.

    Aww I'm sorry that he can't come.  Is there any way that you could re-schedule on a day that he could take off?  My DH is having trouble scheduling off for our "big" u/s here in two weeks, so I understand the stress.

    DH didn't come with me to the first u/s either.  My mom came.  DH had class after work the night I scheduled it.  It wasn't that big of a deal to me.  He did come to all the other ones though.  I made him b/c it was soo cool!

    I was wondering the same thing. could you re-schedule so he could go? Or is it too far out that way?

    Have them take lots of pics for you =D

    my DH couldn't make it to our first u/s either...I was so stressed but obviously it turned out fine...and I got to go home and hand him the u/s pic and watch his expression as he realized there were 2 babies there!  good luck!

    Right now they won't guarantee him any days off in the near future. My doc is wanting to do it as soon as possible since we are unsure of how far along I am.

    DH has the worst job! He's never home and I'm just fed up with how it seems like it leaves me hanging all the time.

    My DH only came to the big u/s, because it was just too much time off work (1/2 hour drive to the Drs office, so an hour off work to start, plus prob an hour for the appt).  I was bummed but I would rather DH take the time off for other stuff.

    If you are unsure about your mom being there with you could she come with and wait in the waiting room with your LO?  That way she is still if need be but you won't have to worry about having your LO in the room or your mom if you don't want.

    Eh, big deal. My husband didn't come to any of my 3 first ultrasounds. In fact, this past time he didn't come with me to any of the ultrasounds. It hasn't scarred me.
