  • Yesterday was the first time DS ever wore shoes.  Up until now his feet were so fat on the top that shoes wouldn't fit on him - I guess as they get longer they're thinning out.
  • I have given up on putting shoes on my DD. I have a friend who won't leave the house unless her kid has shoes on. She doesn't think it's "proper" for her DD (who just turned 1) to not have shoes on. I get sick of putting them back on or losing them.

I agree with you, until he's walking there just isn't a need.
  • we've had DS in shoes for a while, but now that the weather is getting warmer, i think we'll be going without more often now.  when it was cold in the winter, i just didn't want him to be in only socks.
  • we just got the girls shoes 2 weeks ago and they have only been wearing their robeez...and only b/c mommy doesn't feel like looking for socks every morning...I know my cats have a super stash somewhere...
  • I just bought DD a pair of croc type shoes from target. I plan on putting them on her when we go out somewhere so she isn't barefoot. She hates socks and always takes them off so I'm hoping she'll just wear them while we're out. I don't plan on buying a good pair of shoes until after she is walking.

  • Neither have I.  We've been doing socks from the beginning. We're waiting for him to start walking first.

Thanks! You too! How's your LOs weight? I remember your pedi was concerned at her 9 mo appt like mine was with DSs at his 9 mo appt.

  • DD HATES shoes.  I've tired putting them on her and she just screams.  I tried a pair the other day that were too big and she did ok with them.  She kept dancing and I don't know if it was a happy "I like my new jellies" dance or an angry "get these things off my feet" dance.
