We are thinkin Sam's club. We got hosed on the purchase of our last mattress and don't want it to happen again. This one is only 5 years old and DH can't sleep on it anymore.
I have not - but my parents have.... They went to an expensive furniture store and the sales woman knew my parents and told them they could get the same mattresses at Sams club for almost 1/2 the price. So they got the model # or whatever and found the same one there. HTH

We bought ours at Boscov's when we were living in Orange County, NY. I guess that was about 5-6 years ago and we're still happy with it. Got it on crazy sale. I've noticed that Sam's has mattresses, but I've never looked at them. GL!

Ooooooh, good to know! It seems like companies change their model numbers depending on the store they sell the items to, so I didn't think something like this would work.

Okay so I just asked my dad and he said that they went to the expensive place - tried the mattresses (cause you can't try them at BJ's) and the sales woman told them what the 'other' name was for the mattress at the discount store. Maybe if you found a brand/style you liked you could google it and find out what the discount stores have them named?

My mom bought her mattress from Sam's. She loves it. I have slept on it a few times when she is OOT and it is comfy. No issues with it so far and she has had it for 3yrs.

We bought a mattress last fall and after trying to research, we found that it's actually pretty difficult to do comparison shopping. Mattress model names and/or numbers are not standardized. Therefore, if for example Macy's had a pillowtop mattress named "ABC," Sam's Club might have the same mattress, but it's named "XYZ" there.
P.S. I totally love that this post is TTCR. Are you trying to find an extra bouncy mattress? Let me know if this works!
I bought my last mattress in 1998 when I was single at Sams. The price was good at $300 (but back then I just chose whichever).
Now I'm old and achey so much much pickier... DH and I just went through major mattress drama. Tried some TempurPedic out at SitnSleep, then tried the Sleep Number at the SN store. Then DH went and bought a TempurPedic knock-off online and I hated it. Made him send it back. We just got our new fabulous new TP mattress last weekend. (finally)
did you mean NTTCR?... I'd think a mattress that DH wouldn't fall asleep on would help with the brown chicken brown cow area, since he'd be bored and awake..
I have not bought one from them, sorry no help.

I got mine at BJ's 5 years ago and still love it!! Couldn't beat the price for a pillow top mattress... when we moved in together 2 years ago we got rid of DH's much more expensive mattress and boxspring b/c mine was more comfortable. Good luck, there is nothing better than a comfy bed!

yo!
We own two, a queen and a king both super pillow top. Honestly they are a pretty great deal - I sleep like a baby on ours.
If for whatever reason you want it softer you can also purchase a pad for an extra sumtin' sumtin' but we didn't need it
