Jasper has had increasingly bad eczema over the last couple of months. I've been off dairy since November, because it made such a big difference with his tummy not hurting. I did a few different elimination diets when his skin started getting worse and worse, with no real result. The worst of it is on his arms and legs, with some patches that move around his head and face. He scratches and itches it to the point that it weeps and sometimes bleeds. Our NP prescribed a steroid cream that has it under control, and we just had the VEGA test for allergies. I am currently eliminating the plethora of things he is allergic to out of my diet, keeping him moisturized, and keeping the skin eruption under control with the cream for now. We wash with Free & Clear, extra rinse, with no dryer sheets in the dryer. I don't use soap in the bath, and I can't do oatmeal baths due to his oat allergy. He wears and sleeps in only cotton. I would like to eliminate the allergens out of my diet for 6 weeks, and eventually wean off the steroid cream and stop compromising his immune system so that it can become stronger and heal.
Is anyone else out there battling with this? Any tips/tricks/advice?

Allergic to Peas...so far
my LO is taking prescription creams (also a steroid cream) to control it. I also gave up dairy and it helps a lot!
My LO bathes in Aveeno and that also helps and i put a TON of lotion on him every night. (last night he was going to town on his neck -poor guy)
Have you tried eliminating meat? anything that may have hormones in it? That's what my pedi told me and i've read about it -this wasnt so much for me since i'm already a vegetarian.
good luck!
