at church they passed out night lights to all of the mothers and one of the church secretaries (who has four children) told me that i counted to and had me get one.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
I just got a bunch of text messages that's it, not gift. What I don't understand is my brother bought his FI a mother's day gift, they don't have a kid and she isn't pregnant.

but Last night DH calls me asking if I want a camcorder.... which I do and have been looking for a good deal on one.. which He found a good deal on one.. So he bought (first calling me and asking if I want it or not)
But It wasn't planned, and he didn't actually buy anything for me as a mother's day present
I received texts messages which is fine with me but that was it, I did not want anything, I'm still too nervous and not comfortable with the idea of some kind of baby gift.
However, I did treat myself to a Mother's Day mani/pedi (like I do every year) but that's just because MD is always hard on me since I lost my mother and I do things like that to take my mind off of it.
I didn't expect anything, but DH got me a card and necklace, my Mother got me a cute summer maternity outfit and I got several cards from family and friends. It was fun to have a new holiday to celebrate

My husband bought the glider for the nursery as a Mother's Day present and my mom bought me a maternity shirt. I had several thoughtful friends who got in touch to wish me a happy mother's day. It was nice, although I really had no expectations this year.
DH mentioned that he was going to get me something, but I told him not to bother. Instead we went shopping and I got a couple pairs of capris and a dress!
Hubby got me a beautiful card after telling me we don't count for mother/father's day this year Mom and Dad got us a gift card to Chilis so I don't have to cook one night and a couple books. Hub's grandma sent me $50 for clothes and my little sis got us two pairs of adorable shoes for the little one and flowers. All in all an awesome day
DH surprised me with a huge gorgeous bouquet of flowers at the office! As we don't actually celebrate Mother's Day in this country, people were pretty surprised and kept saying 'Happy Birthday' to me! lol
Re: Poll: If your only child...
I was very surprised, by the number "Happy Mothers Day" messages / cards I got.
My DH got me a subscription to a baby magazine, and a diaper bag.
and my MIL got me a very nice card, and super cute baby PJ's.
I got 3 cards. One from DH, My mother, and my friend.
DH also got me a rose and chocolate I like since I've been craving it alot

I made it very clear that I thought it was silly for anyone to buy me anything.
But, DH still got me something and my mom, dad, MIL, and best friend all sent me cards.
Flowers and a Mother-to-be card. I thought it was very sweet for SO to think of me
My mom sent me an e-card addressed from my LO
It was sweet. I'm not a big Mother's Day person anyway I had no plans on getting anything.
technically no, I didn't.

I didn't get anything, but I also told DH not to get me anything.
