The last week was a pretty big one for our family, and I can't help but share it - the good, the bad, and the ugly.
It started out ugly - remember my post about the croup? Fortunately, my girl made a quick recovery.
On the 6th, our girl turned 3 and celebrated with dinner at Chevy's:
That night, she said: "I'm three and I will have NO bobby." She gave me her paci and went to sleep without it. We had been talking it up for months, and I was worried it was going to be really hard. It was so much easier than expected and I was so proud.
On Saturday, we had her birthday party. The weather was gorgeous and almost everything turned out just how I had hoped. My girl was so cute and had the best time!
Sadly, she got a little too excited (and tired) and took a tumble. The cute birthday girl got hurt. It was a scary fall, but she's tough. She got all fixed up and was ready to party some more.
The next day she told us it was time for a big-girl bed. ("Mommy I'm THREE. I want a big girl bed!") So we converted her crib. She was so excited.
And at bedtime, she happily let us tuck her in.
She was apparently too excited to sleep, and was awake until 11pm. But she stayed in bed all night and at 7:45 this morning I heard her usual a.m. greeting (at the top of her lungs): "Mommy I'm AWAKE!" She stayed in bed until I told her she could get out, and we have started our day.
Please forgive the long long long AW post...I am just so proud, and though I would take a moment to share something good with all you ladies who have listened to so much of my "bad."
Re: AW: Our big week (with PIPs)

What a fun, eventful weekend!

What a big week for all of you! The paci post gives me hope. We too are planning on getting rid of it at Anna's 3rd birthday. I hope it goes as well for us!
LOVE her little birthday outfit. Don't tell me you made it!? It's exactly what I want to get for Anna for her birthday---only in pink because heaven forbid it not be in her favorite color;)
Love the happy news:)!
How adorable!! And she is just gorgeous, boo-boo and all...
How is it possible that we have three-year-olds?
