I would like to practice specific meditation and breathing techniques to help in delivery but don't necessarily want to attend a hypnobirthing class (I dont think any are offered where I live anyway). What are some good reference materials to consult (books, tapes, etc)?
Re: For those doing meditation, breathing...
I really like the Indigo Dreams mditation CD, as well as the Guided meditation CD
both are on my iPod and ready to go
If you don't want to take a class (or can't find one) I would suggest getting the Hypnobirthing book at least. It comes with a cd
HypnoBirthing: The Mongan Method https://www.amazon.com/HypnoBirthing-natural-approach-comfortable-birthing/dp/0757302661/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1273502641&sr=8-1
What is Indigo Dreams like?
I use Yoga PM medidation nightly before I go to sleep (by Gaiam) and LOVE IT!

As far as books, I have read Birthing from Within and LOVE it! My Doula suggested Bradley Method I really love Ina May's Guide To Childbirth. I go through moments of getting a little freaked ut but only because my mother is talking about it every hour.
