I never realized how happy a big bag of hand-me-down baby clothes could make me!!!
I think I'm more excited about them than the few new outfits I've been given...I wash them all immediately and organize them...and, because of them, I don't really "have" to buy my LO any infant clothes - of course, I will because they are so cute and affordable (LOVE $5 Carter's sales!!) - but, if money gets tight, we're set!
I'm just so thankful! Also, thankful that my brother and SIL are into boutique-y clothes...they both dress like they are paupers...I never would have thought they'd have such incredible taste in baby stuff!! I'm loving our LOs will be 7 months apart!
Re: Hand-Me-Down Happiness!
My SIL has a DD 2.5 years older than my oldest. We get all of her clothes when she outgrows them. I rarely buy anything new for my girls, because they don't need anything.
I have a friend who is set to give us her 0-12m boy clothes if this one is a boy.
Congrats!
Oh, I love me some hand-me-downs also!!!
My BIL's girlfriend gave us a crib with matching changing table, 2 large plastic totes of boy clothes, a high chair, diaper pail, bath tub, car seat, pack and play and other misc baby gear. Then another family friend gave us a swing and a bassinet. A woman from work gave us a bouncy chair. My husband's friend even had a swing he gave us.
Some of the stuff, we still decided to go out and buy or register for and the hand-me-downs went to grandma's house!
We have been so blessed!!!!

I also got about 3 bins of infant clothing from my sister and I couldn't have been more happy. I loved going through the clothes and it felt good to know that I didn't have to worry about infant clothes. I will probably still buy some items that I think are cute, but it is so nice to not have to worry about it. She also gave me her Medela breastpump that was unused, baby swing, bassinet, and pack & play. She also brought me two large bins of toys. I am so appreciative.
