I'm ruining my baby's life.

This is what I was told today when I said my baby (DC#2) would be born right around Christmas.

Ugh. Stupid guy.

    Don?t feel bad, I?m due on Christmas Day, so I must really be ruining my baby?s life! Haha The way I look at it, it?s the day Jesus was born, so I think it?s very special to have another miracle come into the world on the same day :-)

    My oldest DD said something to that effect too, meaning the baby will get shorted gifts.

    Well, at least you're starting early and don't have to worry about ruining your baby's life in some other way... haha, totally j/k.  

    People have said this to me as well.  To be honest, if I had to pick any EDD in the world, I may not have picked this one, but having a healthy, happy baby that is loved is much more important to us.

    Well I am ruining TWO kid's lives- DS was born a week after Xmas (Jan 2), and this one is due 12/22.

    I'm an assshole I guess! LOL!

    I'm due on December 22nd, so I guess I'm right there with you.  I haven't heard any comments like that yet, but I'm thinking I need to prepare a comeback...

    Coming from a Christmas baby myself (born just a few days before) It does suck to have your b-day so close to Christmas just bc some very unthoughtful people will give you one present for both and think that is fine.  I call them "birthmas" presents... doesn't bother me now but as a child i hated it.  

    But my parents did their best to always have a special day just for me! So as long as the holidays never over shadow their day I think you will be OK! I have never hated my mom for giving birth to me in Dec or thought my life was ruined!

    This!  I'm due on Christmas day too!  We decided we're going to tell people (with a straight face) that we're naming the kid Jesus.  I think I'll be able to do it...my DH, not so much...but it's too funny not to try.
