Post Mirena removal anyone?

The hubby and I are thinking about trying for #3, mirena comes out Friday. I have a somewhat tight time frame due to a family vacation that's already planned so we'd have to delay a few months if I didn't get pregnant the first cycle or two so my kids could make this trip with their cousins. Just curious if anyone got pregnant on the first cycle off a Mirena. It's been 4 years almost since I had it in....plus obviously I'm older now, over 30...since my first two pregnancies so not sure it will come so easily.

    It all depends on your body.  Studies show the hormone is out of your system 2 days after removal.  I've had patients get pregnant within the first 3 months, but I've never seen anyone get pregnant right away off the Mirena.  Just because I haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, though!

    Thanks for the reply! I actually had a girlfriend get preggos on her 1st cycle off of the Mirena, but sounds like it's not the norm!

    I had mine taken out one month ago today and got a BFP this morning. I only had it in for 4 months though so that may have made a difference. My OB told me that it wounldn't matter how long it had been in that it was most likely that a woman would get pregnant in the first three months.

    I'm not trying yet, but I had mine out 3 weeks ago.  I've been trying to chart my fertility and I'm pretty sure I ovulated last week, so it seems my hormones are returning to normal.
