when did the line turn darker? I got a line this morning, but I can't tell if it's a BFP or an evaporation line. I'm not sure if I should test tomorrow morning or wait a few more days.
Well, I had an extremely, extremely faint line yesterday at 12 DPO. But it was sooooo faint that I honestly thought it was likely an evap line. DH saw it too though.
Today at 13 DPO I got a still faint but much clearer positive second line. I consider this my BFP (which makes yesterday a SSP? scrawny slight positive?)
First response is the brand giving me the clear positive.
That happened to me this Friday - I thought I was imagining it! (I got my BFP - yay!)
You might want to run out and get a pregnant/not pregnant digital test. Remember, use your early morning urine if you can otherwise you might get a false negative.
Within a day or so mine was darker...and after a couple of days it was a dark line. Try a digital too in a few days, they aren't as sensitive, but the answer is more definite.
my first test was a blue dye test and my line wasn't faint but I was told not to trust them...I then took a $ store test a got a very faint line. I took another $ test the next day and it was darker and I also took a FRER and there was defiently a line. Don't try a digital if your still early...I took one the at 10dpo and got a negative even though the other tests were positive...I tested again at 13dpo with a digital and got a positive.
You could barely see mine, so I ran out to get a digital and sure enough, it said yes! The doctor's test didn't show a line at all!! They did blood work to make sure! I agree that the first response tests work the best, they detect a lower level of hormones.

I actually have an extra digital from when I got pregnant the first time (considering the ticker, it hasn't been that long, lol) but I'm not sure how long to wait. Are the digitals pretty sensitive?

The $ store tests were really good though
Yeah, I tested this morning with a dollar store test. When I was ttc my DS, I could have bought stock in dollar store tests, lol! I bought a few of them since DS was born (since we're not trying/not preventing) but the dollar store near my house closed and I used the last one this morning! I'm so pissed!
I took a test on Tuesday, it was very faint. I took another test on Wednesday, it was a little darker, but not much - still very faint. I then called the doctor and went in and had them do a test - theirs was faint as well. They sent me over for blood work and that came back as another possible - but my hormone levels were a little low, so Friday I took a digital test and it said YES! Monday they tested my hormone levels again and they were perfect!
After all that, I think I'll use digital from now on for my next pregnancy!
My lines were faint but definitely there at 9 DPO. It was darker at 10 and 11 DPO. For some reason, my tests were always darker later in the day than with FMU. For example, the afternoon of 10 DPO was slightly darker than the FMU on 11 DPO. I've heard of that happening to a few people too. Not sure why.

I had a faint 2nd line on the morning of 9DPO, by that evening it was darker and I got 'Pregnant' on a digi. I kept POAS every morning for 4 days to see the line keep getting darker.

I was using cheapie test strips from Amazon and got a faint positive at 8dp3dt (11dpo). I got my husband out of bed to pee on another one just to see clearly what a true negative looked like. From then I tested 2x a day and as someone else mentioned I got good results after work (5-7pm) and not just FMU.
A line is a line though! If you have any doubts, give one to your husband :-)

This!! just be aware that the digitals are definitely not as sensitive, so if you are testing early and/or not using FMU it will give you a false negative.
