I swear I post as many food questions on here as I do TTC questions...
Please give me an idea for a dessert for tomorrow! I'm hosting dinner for my mom and sister. We have five people who will eat pretty much anything, and then one person (BIL) who doesn't like chocolate or fruit. He pretty much eliminates most of my dessert choices.
I'm thinking of putting out sugar cookies for him (which he'll love) and making something that the rest of us will enjoy. Any suggestions? I have to P/R for the moment, but I'll be back on later tonight.
Thanks ladies!
Re: Dessert for tomorrow?
I was going to suggest white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, because it is my fav, but if you want to include your BIL you could always do cookies. (oatmeal, snickerdoodle, or plain sugar?)
There is a really great graham cracker with coconut, icing and pecans that I love (my gma makes it) but I don't remember the recipe, you could prolly find something similar online.
Good Luck!
MMMM.. those also sound delightful, I might need to make some scotcharoos!

I know, I know. I am usually a purist and prefer absolutely no fruit whatsoever anywhere near my dessert. But..this has cookies, cream cheese, pudding, and whipped cream! I figure all of that unhealthy crap surely negates any nutritional value lended to the dish by the bananas. Don't you think?

This was the first thing that came to my mind as well!
Cookies are always a safe bet...as are cupcakes!!
And seriously? Who doesnt like fruit or chocolate? What a sad sad life.
Oreo Dessert
1 package Oreo's, crushed.
Combine:
2 small packages INSTANT Vanilla pudding
with 3 cups milk, beat on medium speed until thickened..
Do not use skim milk, whole works best.
Combine:
1 stick real butter, room temperature but not melted
1 8 oz. bar of cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar
Blend pudding mixture with cream cheese mixture.
FOLD in with spatula (do not beat) 12 oz. Cool Whip
In glass or see through bowl, layer crushed Oreos, then puddding mixture, repeating, ending with pudding mixture. Top with finely crushed Oreo crumbs. Cover well and refrigerate or freeze. For a summer party, frozen is really good.
The recipe above fills a footed glass bowl.
Do not thaw, just serve from the freezer.
