I agree even w/o the water spilling incident! To make BFing go as smoothly and comfortably as possible (for me) I bought a hooter hider, breast pads, lily padz a little later, nursing tanks, a nursing sleep bra, a nursing bra, the pump, milk storage bags, storage compartment thingy for milk in the freezer, bottles to pump into, and steam bags to help me cleaning the damn parts to the pump so often.
I'm not saying I spent more than I would have had I FFd but geez, all of those "extras" really add up and probably closed the gap between the options a lot more than I'd like to calculate
Oh, and plus I "only" BFd exclusively for 3mos and then 75% of the time from 3-8mos and then switched to formula so, really, I had both costs to endure.
