Update on First Clomid Cycle

Hi Ladies,

I've appreciated all of the advice thus far with my many PCOS and SA questions. Here's my update.

I've completed my first Clomid cycle. It's pretty exciting. Although my OBGYN suggested BD CD9-CD12, I didn't get a postive OPK until CD16. This is my first cycle and I chose to do it unmonitored though that wasn't my original plan. (I know that's frowned upon on these boards but I decided to just see how it went for the first time) I was prescribed Primarine to help with CM, and I took my usual Metformin & multi vitamin, along with baby aspirin, and 16 oz of POM everyday to help with lining. Now I'm 1/2 way through the 2ww and having all kinds of lovely phantom symptoms, but I'm trying to keep my feet on the ground here. Still, fingers crossed that we get lucky. Thanks for the support.

Unless your doctor told you to take the baby aspirin- STOP! If you don't need it, you will end up causing problems you didn't have. Anything like that needs to be cleared through your doctor prior to taking it with medicated cycles.

And you only needed 8 oz of Pom. Extra doesn't help. And once you O it doesn't do anything- you can stop drinking it.

Going unmonitored isn't frowned upon, it's stupid and dangerous.

    Hey kdodge,

My doc did rec the aspirin for a set number of days. Thanks for the heads up on the POM, I'm drinking it ass part of my PCOS diet plan too, so that's why the 16oz which I've been told isn't harmful. And I do hear you on the unmonitored cycles. I don't plan to do it forever, but I'm living on the edge for this first cycle.
