Hi there -
I was wondering for those of you who have anxiety/panic attacks and/or OCD if you are staying on your meds or planning to while pregnant. Just thinking about having to go off of everything makes my stomach churn. Any thoughts, advice, etc. is appreciated! TIA.

Ditto. Definitely talk to your doctor though about your specific situation, because everyone's different.
Hi!
I tried to wean off all my meds. It was too much for me. I couldn't handle it. So I went from Cymbalta and Lorazepam (sp?) to Zoloft and Buspar, My drs felt that the Zoloft and Buspar were safe. Talk to you dr. Panic and anxiety sucks...
Oh, BTW, my anxiety and panic are better controlled on the Zoloft and Buspar than at anytime in the past. It was a blessing in disguise for me.
Good luck! Keep in touch with your doctors through the process.
My dumb ass decided to stop taking BCPs and my anxiety meds at the same time. Even though I tapered off Lexapro it was a REALLY hard 2 months with brain chemistry regulating and hormones regulating. I now know better and I'm hoping to stay off the Lexapro for as long as I can!
good luck to anyone who's trying to taper off meds!
I'm weaning. It's hard, but in my mind it's worth it because I only have mild GAD. My doctor did say that some women stay on my med (Lexapro) but that most women who want to stay on meds are switched to something older (usually Prozac). I don't know what exactly you're on, but I would try to wean (SLOWLY - weaning too fast makes me sick!). If you can't, and if the risks of weaning outweigh the risks to the baby, ask your doc what he/she can switch you to.
