Are Huggies size 3's any bigger than Pamper's?

I haven't used Huggies since DD was in NB diapers, and I seem to remember the NB size being bigger.  Is that true for the size 3's?

Btw, this is completely unrelated to the whole dry max issue - I just have boxes of both brands at home and am wondering which to open first.

  • Huggies have always seemed to run slightly larger then Pampers, all sizes, in my experience. It might depend on the "style" though?

  • I just switched from pampers 3's to huggies 3's (I am freaked by the whole pampers dry max issues) while I decide which route to take re: cloth diapering etc.  I find them to be just about the same.  Maybe slightly smaller...?

ETA:  We were using Cruisers and these huggies are Little Movers.
  • I think Huggies are bigger.  They always fit better for my LO's.

  • We just switched from size 3 pampers cruisers to size 3 huggies snug & dry.  The huggies seem a lot bigger (wider mostly).

This. ?I think they run a bit wider, and my DS has a skinny waist so I couldn't get them to fit him properly. Which stinks, because I liked the quality of their nighttime diapers better than the Pampers ones!

This. I had a harder time getting the huggies lil movers to fit on Evelyn at the BabyTime show last weekend (Huggies was the big sponsor, so they gave away their diapers at the changing stations). Evelyn is rather solid in the middle, though.

I agree.  Maybe a little wider?

  • huggies are bigger IMO - at least the kind i have vs. the pampers i have - not sure which "style" they are :) lol

  • They run much bigger on DS, but he's got a tiny waist and short legs (he's still in 9 month pants).  I think it's the waist that they're bigger.  I think Pampers are for long and lean babies.
  • Yes, I've noticed that
