C-Section Incision Opening ?

in 3rd Trimester

 

I have my 6 week pp appt. next Tuesday... last week I worked out a little too soon... and now i have a pencil tip sized opening in the middle of my incision. I've spoke with my doc already... just wanted to know if anyone else has had there incision open and how long it took to heal back...

    Totally happens all the time with abdominal incisions. You just have to be careful about drainage and infection.

    I agree ..easy to happen and mine did that too (with DS -3) Once it fully healed though my incision was not too bad!! Just keep it clean!

    Ok, i don't want to freak you out but this happened to me.  However, it was much sooner.  It started with just a small opening.  Is yours oozing anything?  I had a high fever with it and had to go back to the doctor, where they opened the incision a bit and i had to pack the wound (well, i had nurses come to my house for about 4 weeks) for 6-8 weeks after my surgery.  It was a terrible process that i wish no one has to go through.  If i were you, i would try to get in to see the doctor asap.  Does it hurt to touch it?  Does anything come out if you press at all?
