First Night Out Since Baby Was Born - 5 Months Ago

Yes, it's true. Last night was my first night out after 7pm since Benjamin was born 5 months ago. I put him to bed, left hubby with the baby monitor and headed to a mommy expo 10 mins down the street. I had a great time with my favorite mommy-to-be friend and.......the baby didn't wake up at all the entire time I was gone. I really thought he'd wake up and cry to be nursed. But not a peep out of him!

It felt liberating. Why did I wait this long? Note to other first time mommies- to-be.....make it a point to have someone watch the baby so you can feel like a real person again.

That is awesome! I'm glad you had a good time - you deserve it. Tomorrow will be my first girls night out since Benji was born (maybe even Chelsea? can't remember). Yeah!
