OT-What type of shoes go with this dress

So I have three weddings to attend this spring - one this weekend, one in June and one in July.  I purchased this dress:

It was a little more than what I wanted to spend but it actually fit and it looked alot better than those dresses that I have tried on.  My question is what kind of shoes would you wear?  I also have a cropped style black cardigan that I plan on wearing since a cold front has come through and we are supposed to get a little bit of snow tomorrow.  I have some black boots with a little bit of a heel that I could wear but I'm not sure how that would look.  Also, since I'm pasty white, would wearing black hose or a tight work, especially for tomorrow's weather?

  • A wedge like what the model is wearing or flat but cute/stylish sandals with thin straps. I mention both for comfort. You could also wear a peep-toe with moderate heel.

  • The dress is super cute!

I would go with a strappy sandal. Where do you live? I would give anyone I saw wearing boots or tights in May the side eye.

I would go with a sandal with an actual heel verses a wedge like the model has on.  A heel seems dressier and more appropriate for a wedding.

You could do any color since the dress is black and white.  It would be cute to do a colored shoe and then a matching pashmina in case you got chilly or wanted to cover your shoulders.

I live in Wisconsin.  With the thought of at least an inch of snow and the high of only 50 and cloudy and rainy/snowy tomorrow, I don't know if having an open toe or sandle would be a good or not.  I wouldn't want to freeze the entire day.

In that case, you may want to go with a different dress. Boots or tights won't be appropriate for this springy dress.

  • That dress cannot be worn with boots or stockings at all.  If it is going to be too cold for at most a peep-toe, choose another dress for this weekend.

I also suggest a somewhat strappy shoe and would prefer a color over black.  But, I am also not the hugest fan of black and white printed dresses and need some pop of color.  As LCB said, a matching pashmina would be great.  Or even black shoes with a colored pashmina.  I also wouldn't wear a cropped sweater to a wedding...definitely a shawl of some kind.

  • Can you wear a white dress to a wedding?

    it's not white, it's printed.
