Er, how do you wash a thick bumper?

* Let me rephrase my question.... How do you wash a 'lower end" thick bumper that does not have a zipper?

The bumper cover should come off and you should wash just that.

Well, mine has a zipper that zips the fabric part away from the stuffing part (that is like a pillow).

Most of the nicer sets I have seen in person have this feature as well.

I got my set at BRU and it doesnt do this

No I'm just saying the ones I have seen in person were all higher end (mostly examples of custom bedding that run well over $500) and they had that. Mine is custom made so I guess maybe most don't come off?

Most don't come off and you can just stick it in the washer by itself. We have one for DD and I've done this a bunch of times.

How about just using the laundry wipes on them? Like the ones you use after you drop food on your clothes. That should disenfect it for you.

I would just hand wash and lay flat to dry if your cover doesn't come off (Which most don't)

I guess if it doesn't fit in the washer, I'll be bringing it to the laundromat? No clue.

I don't think mine has a cover, but I haven't unpacked the bag it came in yet.

Just wash it and dry it like normal. It will be fine. We have a set from BRU and I have washed the bumper several times.

I just shoved mine into our washer (by itself) and it was fine. The other alternative is to use a commercial machine at a laundromat.

ETA: DS's bedding set came from Target.

I washed my in the washer and then hung it to dry. It worked just fine.

I have put mine in the washer and dryer several times and it has been fine. Although mine isn't very puffy or full.

Putting the whole thing in the washing machine should be fine, but not the dryer. I'll probably be super paranoid of messing something up and wash mine by hand in the sink.
