what compost bin do you want? I found one at Sam's for about $60 and now that we have our shed installed in our back yard, I am going to get a bin (I have a good place to 'hide' it now that the shed is there.
I can't wait. I cringe everytime I throw away 'green' waste.
Re: Rachel...
I found this great article on making one out of a regular garbage can. I'll post the link as soon as I find it again.
) I didn't want a real big one (yet) and I think this one will work out perfectly. I cringe, too. I'm really on a kick lately about doing more green living and to teach my kids as much as possible. I'd have solor panels installed tomorrow if I had the money. lol-never realized I was such a hippie at heart. ;o)

Oh, I don't know if you've seen that blog before, but there are lots of great ideas for green/frugal living.
We will be having Meatless Mondays from now on--BIG deal in my house! If you have any other ideas or blogs on this, I'd love to hear them.

*butting in* Ohhh thanks for sharing this blog! Honestly I'm not eco-concious like I should be, but I'm realizing it's a real, tangible responsibility to our children...so there are small changes that I'm making that hopefully will lead to bigger ones. {baby steps}
PS Rachel, that siggy pic is AWESOME- love love love Miss Abby. We have got to get up to see y'all!
The Baby Blog.
Thank you, Amanda. Let me know the next time you will be in town and we will plan something. It's baseball season so our schedule is pretty crazy, but I'd love to meet up with you guys. I was going to message you about maybe getting together saturday (Nate is playing in Alabaster), but (depending on if they win or not) he could be playing from 9a-9p!

There is still a lot of areas I could improve on as far as being more eco-friendly. I started with my grocery bags and now try to incorporate small things into our everyday life. I like to look at it as anything is better than nothing.

It's funny you say that. Just yesterday I was looking for other 'green' blogs and it seems like all of the google results were from Portland.
