Newborns are supposed to sleep all the time, right?

in Parenting after a Loss
DD sleeps all the time!  Most of the time I have to wake her to feed (unless the witching hours of the night where she seems to get cranked up!).  She has some alert time here and there but sleeps most of the time.  This is normal, right?  How long do they stay in this sleepy stage?

    Ditto ditto ditto this!  Sometimes I long for the days of DD sleeping so much.  Although, it is fun once they get more engaged with the world.  But enjoy the long naps while you can.
