Apparently not for me, lol. I'm seriously afraid to walk around like this and go to work (an hour away from the hospital!)

I still think I'll make it to my May 24th induction, but at least I know it will be fast! I hope

Mrs.Jenni I am right there with you- 4.5cm and 80% effaced. Wondering how this LO is not falling out...although I'm hoping that it's sooner rather than later!

OMG....I was so waiting for your doctor's update today! Ms.Jenni, I dunno how you do it. I am in pain for you - I am only a fingertip and have been having terrible pressure for 3 days straight now....I can't even imagine what you are going through and taking it like a trooper. I predict you will go early....I don't think you will make it to the 24th. Big Smile

That is CRAZY! At least you know the baby won't 'fall' out because she is so big!!! I seriously can't believe you are walking around 5 cm dilated! You're half way there! Heheheheeeee.

My SIL walked around at 6cm dilated for 3 weeks! She also had a monster baby weighing in at 10lbs. 12oz. at birth. Keep those legs crossed!

I would hope that if I showed up to the hospital (or even a dr's apt) at 5cm that I wouldn't be going home w/o a baby.

Hopefully you will go soon and if not your induction will be fast. When I was induced with DS I was 4cm and 80%, it was a 8 hour labour and 30 min pushing. I really hope it goes this fast or faster this time around.

At my last dr's appt., my Dr. was rushing through because she was inducing a patient that had come int he day before for her regular check up and she was walking around at 7cm!! She said she just felt crampy, no contractions. She checked in the next day to be induced at 8cm!!! CRAZY!!!

1cm IS progress!!! That's what I was at this point with DS and VERY happy with that.

5cm = scary.

Good Luck Jenni!!! I would agree to talk to your boss and stay home! You said you are an hour away from the hospital - where are you having baby girl? We live in the same area
