Religious Prayer/Saint Gerard...

Anyone religious? I found the prayer to St Gerard Majella who is the patron saint of motherhood. I'm religious and I'm going to start saying this prayer. Just thought I'd share!

Oh and I'll attach the link b/c there is a prayer for safe delivery, for sick children and a couple others. Also more information on St Gerard if anyone is interested.

Prayer for Motherhood
O good St Gerard, powerful intercessor before God and wonder worker of our day, confidently I call upon you and seek your aid. On Earth you always fulfilled God's designs, help me now to do the holy will of God. Implore the Master of Life, from whom all paternity proceeds, to render me fruitful in offspring, that I may raise up children to God in this life, and in the world to come, heirs to the Kingdom of His Glory.
Amen.

Thanks for posting this! As St. Anthony has saved my bacon helping me find more lost items than I can count, I'm all for praying for intervention by saints.

Also now that I take a closer look there are patron Saints of fertilty on that site as well.

Yes but we are not Catholic. We pray for the intercessions of the Theotokos (Virgin Mary), St. Irene Chrysovalantou, and St. Panteleimon.

Thanks for posting this! I say some prayers of intercession to the saints, but I also do novenas to the Blessed Mother.

Also, St. Rita of Cascia is the patron saint of infertility, St. Anne is the patron saint of women in labor, and St. Gerard is the patron saint of expectant mothers.

My mom gave me the St. Gerard medal that she wore while she was pregnant with me so I have that and I this prayer. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for this! I am not Catholic but I love the saints... I didn't realize so many of us were religious... I am on another message board community and we're not really allowed to talk about religion (seriously! or politics, either).

I like knowing that there are other girls out there who are potentially praying for me! I will be sure to include you in my prayers, too. Thanks again!
