I'm not sure what to do. All of our photos are on the computer but there is a big part of me that wants my favorites (mainly since ds) in an album. Also, we are in the military and dh was a military brat and he remembers his childhood by where he lived (a long list). So I've decided I want to make scrapbooks for the kids with pages for each place they live. So do I print photos for the album and the scrapbook? Or do I put all of the photos I love in the album and then put fewer different ones in the scrapbook(and also other keepsakes)? Have I overanalyzed this? You bet. But what do you think? Thanks!

Re: Photos on the computer, scrapbook, or photo album or all of the above?
I have 3 kids and have albums for each of them and then one album for family pictures. I would love to do the scrapbooking thing, but I don't have the time right now. When I accummulate around 20 new photos on my computer, I create a new album on Walgreens.com, order the photos and have them mailed. Then I can share the photos with family members and they can either order them and have them mailed or sent to a Walgreens store. We have a printer that does print photos really well, but it's way too time consuming for me right now. I do order extra copies of some pictures and keep them organized in one of those photo boxes in the event that I do need them for scrapbooking in the future.
FWIW, you are not overanalyzing at all in my opinion. I had to think about how to actually organize everything because with 3 kids and so many pictures, it gets overwhelming.
