Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Going to pick up urn :(

We got a call saying that Nicholas' cremation and urn were ready for us. We plan to have the urn buried but b/c we have only lived in New England for 5 years and it is away from family we wanted to a wait and really think about where to bury him. Not exactly the time to rush into that decision. So now we have to pick him up.

Today was going so well. Not sure if I will be emotional or numb but this day just took a turn towards horrible!

  • Ugh,I'm sorry.  That was a really, really hard thing for me to do, especially because the urn will be tiny, just to warn you.

Max's ashes are sitting on our dresser.  I want him to be buried with me.

  • I could not bring myself to bury the twins. I have them on my dresser where I can talk to them everyday. I want them buried with me if anything.
  • We hadn't really thought about burial too much but I like the idea of having him buried with us in the future. No clue as to the urn's placement but it has to be high or DS will think it is a toy, ugh. There are no words for this type of situation.

  • It was the hardest thing for me to do. But it also felt so good to hold her again, even if it was in just a box. It was still her, and it did feel good.

  • Matty is in our bedroom with us.  We were in no condition to decide where his final resting place should be so he came home to us.  Our funeral home was actually quite amazing.  They came to our house after we left the hospital to make all the arrangements and then when everything was done a couple weeks later they brought him to us.  Something so simple made a huge difference, in our emotionally fragile state we didn't have to face the gloom of a funeral home just a very kind woman sitting at our dining room table helping us make those sad decisions.
