We aren't getting anything more than a card for my mom and DH's mom. But, since my mom will be in town taking care of DD this weekend while we are at a wedding, I'd like to do something for her "from" DD.
I was thinking about getting her a flower pot, painting it and painting DD's handprints on it. Then maybe planting some flowers in it.
Anyone else have a suggestion? My mom loves the sentimental stuff.
Re: Anyone have suggestions of crafty mothers day gifts from LO?
What about a garden stepping stone? You could put her handprint, name, and the year on it? I know they sell them at craftstores.
We made one for my grandma each year for her birthday and I'm thinking about doing that for my mom.
I love this idea!
When I taught toddlers several years ago, I bought flower pots and painted them white. I painted the rim pink and put white polka dots on it. I then put the little girls hand prints around it (I think that 3 fit). I put potting soil in it and a packet of sweetpeas. I made a little "Happy Mother's Day" card and put "from your little sweetpea". Cheesy, I know, but they loved it.
I also have made a flower pot using thumb prints and made them into insects (bees, caterpillars, butterflies, etc)
