We invited family and close frineds. I did a picture invite so I also had a seperate sheet in there with a map that said "Following the Baptism Please Join Us for a Celebration" with the location, etc.
We invited both sides of the family including aunts, uncles and cousins. For our friends we just did our closest ones.
I don't have the exact wording here at work, but we did something traditional at the top for the actually baptism and then on the bottom put that we will be having a cookout at our house following the ceremony.

We had DS's grandparents, great grandparents, and his godparents, which were also his aunts and uncle. We didnt' do invites tho, so I'm no help in that area. Sorry!
We didn't do invites we just verbally invited the godparents, our parents, our siblings & their families and that's it. We had to keep it super small or it would be out of control. I'm already fearing the guestlist for his 1st birthday.
We invited close friends and family. I ordered mine from tinyprints.com. They had wording already in it and I just changed a few choice words. I got a lot of compliments on them!
