Updates: Please let us know how you're doing!

Re: Pregnant After Preemie (&TTC) Check in

  • QOTW: N/A

Update:  I'm feeling pretty good and getting ready to hit full term on Saturday!  Woo hoo!

  • QOTW: Unfortunately, I'm not as active on the boards too much anymore, so I wouldn't be good at that :(

I am SOOO happy that your cooking Maggie so well!

  • I can't believe you're almost full term! Congrats!!!!!

I wouldn't mind taking it over, and you'd probably get a lot of mileage out of me, considering I'm not pg yet. Just PM me if you're interested.

Nothing new to report here, really, still working on getting rid of the last few pounds before we call the RE. I go back and forth between being excited and being scared and not wanting to call at all. Today is an excited day :) I know we're ready, and I'm sure it'll be fine once I get going, I'm just having a hard time getting back in the swing of TTC w/an RE, and I have that little voice in my head nagging me about how bad things could have been with DD and what if the next comes earlier or is in distress and we don't find out until it's too late? Trying not to live in fear, though.

  • QOTW:  What!!!  May 18 is so close.  That went so fast (at least to me).  But I'm sure it felt like an eternity to you.

Update:  Nothing really.  Just antsy to get this baby-making thing going.  Still on target for June.

Oh, and only 31 more days left of school!  But who's counting.

  • Ummm....can we first talk about your new adorable siggy pic!!!!! I can't wait to get home from work and checkout what might be posted on FB tonight - so cute!!

Update: I had some more bleeding yesterday and had to go see my OB - baby still has a heartbeat and no one can figure out why I am bleeding?

  • qotw: i'm swamped right now, sorry!

update: had our "what's next" appt with the RE today. we're going to try a couple of months on our own (assuming i'm still ovulating) and then go back if we're not pregnant. i'm 10dpo right now and have had 3 negative HPTs and 1 negative blood test. i'm going to give it a few more days before i completely give up....

Update: Surgery went well and I got my uterus balloon thingy out today which was awesome! We made a plan for #2... I'm going to wean off my anti-anxiety meds and then we'll start trying at the end of june. Plan is progesterone starting after ovulation and continuing through the first trimester. My LPD is a bit worse this time, but hopefully it will do the trick. I am so freaking excited to start trying!!! Doc thinks that Emma's prematurity was a total "fluke", and although that doesn't really make me feel better I'm trying to be positive :)

  • QOTD: No thanks.  I am getting active on the High Risk Board with the Bed Rest Mamas and have been doing their daily checkin a few days a week.  It looks like there are some other takers, though.

Update: We have surpassed Zoey's arrival point, so now we are cruising towards my next goal of 28 weeks.  Ben is doing well, and I think another ultrasound is around the corner to check on his growth, and to check on my cervix.  I got the referral for my glucose tolerance test (which I didn't make it to last time) and also for the Rhogam shot.  I never made it this far, so all the 28 week tests makes me smile.  Oh, and yesterday was Zoey's one year anniversary of coming home from the NICU.  Party!!!

  • QOTW:  Sounds like SkypekWithoutAC arrived here first.  ;)

Update:  Saw my OB/GYN this week for my annual exam.  She thought that I might be ovulating due to an enlarged right ovary...but, I pretty much shot that down based on my temps.  I've been temping for a little over a month just to see if I'm going to ovulate soon...no go.  My temps are totally flat.  :(  So, looks like AF isn't anywhere close in our future.  And as a result, doc wanted me to go have an ultrasound to see what's going on. So, I'll schedule that soon.  Doc was pretty surprised that I haven't gotten AF yet as DS is almost 15 months old...and she wants me to go have my thyroid checked.  But, from what I've read about ecological breastfeeding, this isn't uncommon at all.  We're down to nursing 2x per day...and we'll see if that triggers ovulation sometime soon.  Wish us luck.

  • QOTW: I've only got 4 weeks and 5 days left myself so I don't think I'm a good choice.

Update: All is going well. I'm actually feeling like I'm expereincing a full term pregnancy and that makes me happy. I can't believe how big I am, how much this little one moves, etc. Sure I'm uncomfortable, can't walk very far without slopwing down and waddeling, can't roll over in bed without some effort, etc. It's a bit surreal. I used to not understand what women were talking about when they started complaining towards the end of their pregnancies and now it totally makes sense to me. Obviously I'm not about to complain as I'd rather be uncomfortable than have a preemie, but at least I finally get it. Cherishing every single moment!

  • Can you please move me to the pregnant section? I am expecting #2, due date is November 29! (I'm currently listed in the TTC section).

Sorry, I'm not on here enough to help with the check in. Congrats on making it so far, hope your c/s goes well!

I had my first ultrasound and appointment with the doctor yesterday. Everything went good, one healthy baby growing in there! I feel good about the new doctor and that I will be monitored closely and hope to have a healthy pregnancy this time around.
