Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Ya'll will be my witness that I was here all day, right?

Because I'm about to b!tch slap my co-worker.  I normally ignore stupid comments or just walk away and let the person know with my lack of comment that I don't approve.  Well we are uber busy at work and someone just "joked" that she feels a stroke coming on. Someone said oh you don't want that and her response....... "I'd rather have a stroke then deal with this."

She knows that Aidan had a stroke in utero and that's why my cord failed.  She wasn't talk to me or else I would have gone off! I also said that my level of caring about how busy we are, because really in the grand scheme of things it's not that important, is nothing. She said "You should teach people to be like that." I said well have a tragedy in your life and it puts everything into perspective.

  • I'm so sorry! Some people just don't think and don't get it! I wish that everyone could get the "perspective lesson" we get without the pain though.

Makes it harder to deal with their bs when we're looking through a totally different (an IMO) much better lens than they are. Some things just aren't that important and co worker drama is one of those things!

    Hugs!

  • I'm a witness!  I didn't see anything... slap away!

What is with people?  I'm so sorry we all have to deal with ignorant comments and your comeback was perfect.  I hope that shut her up!

  • UGGHH some people just do NOT think before they speak. SO frustrating. A friend of mine was just complaining about how "horrrriiibleee" it was to have her baby under the bili lights at the hospital for about an hour to make sure his jaundice levels didn't get to high. It was just sooooooo painful to watch her baby who is now PERFECTLY healthy and at home, go through that. UMM really, how bout you watch your practically lifeless baby lay under the bili lights for about two full days, and then tell me how horrible that was. ughh. I wonder if we'll ever stop being so bitter? Haha, because I really don't think so.

Oh yeah, I'd smack her and then think. lol  I don't think we'll ever stop being bitter and I don't think that's a horrible thing. I mean our perspective is sooo different now that the "stressful" things in life really aren't as stressful anymore.

That is just so stupid.  She definitely deserves a throat punch.  I totally agree that we just have a better understanding of what is important in life.  It just sucks that it takes so much pain to reach that understanding.  I snapped at my friend the other day for continually complaining to me about how horrible her life is.  All she is complaining about is drama that belongs in HS not in a grown woman's life.  If her biggest problem in life is stupid arguments with friends or the fact that she doesn't have a boyfriend then she has zero problems and has no right to say her life sucks.  It's just so much harder now to deal with these types of people after all we've been through and are still going through.

Maggs if you want me to throat punch her for you I will get on a plane ASAP.
