what to pack for the hospital????

not sure what to pack for the hospital with my first one i went for a routine check up at 36 weeks and ended up staying at the hospital and delivering 2 days later needless to say i was not prepared and my hubby packed the most obscure things like a lace nighty and thong underwear aswell as bra's i wore pre preggo and no sweaters (it was jan in b.c a huge snow storm) so this time i want to be prepared i have all the babies stuff ready now what do i really need i don't want to take to much????

    Here's mine... 

    Hospital bag packing list:

    [  ] Folder with hospital forms, notebook and pen

    [  ] 3 pairs of socks, 2 maternity bras and nursing pads

    [  ] Toiletries and personal items: Chap stick, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, face wash, makeup, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, contact lenses and solution

    [  ] Eyeglasses

    [  ] Ponytail holders, srunchie and claw clip

    [  ] Non-perishable snacks

    [  ] Cell phone and charger, phone numbers of people to call after birth

    [  ] Camera, memory card, battery

    [  ] A backpack packed with a change of clothes for Husband

    [  ] Extra pillow and boppy

    [  ] Comfortable going-home clothes and flat shoes

    [  ] Robe

    [  ] Flip flops or slippers

    [  ] Reading material (I'm bringing a breastfeeding guide)

    [  ] Laptop and charger

    [  ] Massage oil and nipple balm
