Re: Baby acne

  • The pedi told me not to do anything but keep her face clean with a warm wash cloth. Some days, it looked so awful that I wanted to cry. It appeared overnight around 5 weeks and disappeared overnight around 7.

  • I was told just wash their face once a day with water and maybe a mild soap.  LO's baby acne was so bad for about a week but it is almost gone now so just hang in there.

  • Very normal.  My DS had it for a few weeks and then it went away.  Do not touch it or try to break the pimples.  If you think it is infected talk to your doctor.
  • Normal. Our Pedi said it will be there as your hormones work their way out of LO's system. He said there wasn't much we could do about it.

  • DD had it from about 5 weeks to 8 weeks.  It was awful.  Just keep her clean with a warm wet washcloth after each feeding.  It will eventually go away.

  • DS has been getting it and I have been using a warm wash cloth on his face everyday and it seems to be helping.

  • Kisses!!!

Mine has had it now for almost 2 wks and it is getting less or I am getting used to it.  It hurts us more than them.  I do try to make sure to wash all my shirts in Dreft with the kid's clothes, cause sometimes the detergent and dryer sheet can cause it to be worst.  Also, I use Dove Sensitive to minimize more detergent interaction.
