Sibling names

Okay, I know we're not TTC yet...but we will be in a little over a month!  (Aghh!!)  When I was pregnant with Allie, we took forever to decide on a name so I have already been driving DH nuts to talk about them.  Of course, we knew when pregnant with Allie that if she was a boy the name would have been Noah Andrew, so we plan to use that if we have a boy next.

Anyways, Allie's full name is Allison Nicole.  Does Amelia Rae work for a sister's name?  Do those compliment one another, too similar, or too different (one is classic, the other is not, etc?)  Thoughts?  TIA!

BTW: Allie's middle name is Nicole because that is my middle name.  DH's middle name is Ray, so that is why we are thinking about using Rae.

 

Allie ~ 01/26/09 ~ 7 lbs, 9 oz ~ 20.75 in. & Amelia ~ 03/16/11 ~ 8 lbs, 1 oz ~ 21 in.

    I think they work well together.  I love the name Rae... I hate that it's gotten really popular lately.  It's my middle name and I've planned to use it for a future daughter's middle name as well.  It wasn't so popular when I was growing up... I always got teased that it was a boy's name, even with the different spelling.  Of course, it didn't help that my name is Sunny Rae!  ;-)  I'm sure that an Amelia Rae wouldn't have any issues with teasing!

    They work well.

    I can see it now... five or so years down the road when you have Allie, Ameila and Noah you get really mad and start yelling "Noah I mean Ame no wait Al oh no Noah you are the one in trouble. Get over here."  Yup they all work together ;)
