Inconsistent contractions

in 3rd Trimester

Since the time I left work yesterday till I went to bed (so for about 4-5 hours) I had the most inconsistent contractions.

They were last about 40-50 secs each but sometimes would be 5 mins apart, sometimes 10 mins apart, sometimes 2 mins apart.

I just wish they were consistant so that way I could have gone to the hospital. But I see the Dr today for my weekly, so we will see what she has to say.

Anyone else having these? Think it means that LO is coming soon?

    I was having them all the time about 1-2 weeks ago. Now, not so much :(

    i'm with ya! i ended up going to the hospital anyways because i thought i had "sprung a leak" (as my husband put it....).  Dr said as long as the contractions are inconsistent and baby is still moving enough, then there is no need to stay in the hospital.  needless to say, we were disappointed too!

    I had some on Sunday that were similar - but not as many as you did.  Mine were about 1 min. in duration, and about 10 minutes apart.  I had two of them, then when I laid down, they stopped.  Boo! 

    I did find out at my internal the following day that I was now dilated to 1 cm - maybe what I felt actually did something to make me progress.  Maybe yours will have caused your cervix to dilate further as well!  GL!

    I had these consistantly all night last night, from about 8pm, until I woke up this morning. They were not painful, but definitely more intense than usual, and randomly timed just like yours. I also have my weekly appointment today, so I'll see what Dr. says about it in a few hours!
