this year for mother's day i want to do something crafty with mady so she can give them to her grandmothers.
i was thinking of buying a small flower pot and having mady get crafty with paint & markers all over the pot before we actually plant flower seeds in them. i thought it would be nice for the grandmothers to watch their flowers grow instead of watching them die in a few days (no pun intended).
any other ideas you guys can share with me? i also plan to make them their own cards, trying to cut on costs and mady enjoys any type of hands on activity.
Re: mother's day - for the grandmas
I love the flowerpot idea. I used to do something similar with my students for their moms on Mother's Day, but it was with a bag of tea and a card in the shape of a teapot. This website has the poem that goes with that theme and other Mother's Day craft ideas: https://stepbystepcc.com/holidays/mothersday2.html

I LOVE your flower pot idea
That is so sweet! Also, maybe you can have Mady decorate a framed picture of the three of you, or of the two of them - they sell blank wooden frames at Michael's and she can paint it, put stickers, etc..
I had gotten the wooden frames from Michael's soo cute and many to choose from. We're going to paint seashells, decorate the frames with them and place a picture of all three kids in the frame for both grandmothers and one great grandmother.
that is beautiful!!! btw i just came from surfing your blog...cute blog!!
