I am visiting a home day care this evening for an "interview". Our little one won't be arriving until late July, so we have plenty of time to choose a provider.
I am wondering what questions I should ask and things to look out for?
This visit tonight is for a home day-care, but we're also looking at a few centers. Any insight into either one would be appreciated.
Re: Child Care
Our 2 year old is at a home daycare, which has been fabulous for us. Some questions you might want to ask...
-Is she licensed? How many kids is she licensed for?
-Other children and their ages
-Where will your little one nap?
-Daily routines (once your little one is older, will there be storytime, art projects, learning activities?)
-Do you still pay for days that the provider can not watch your child because she is ill or on vacation? What if you and your little are sick or take vacation?
If you find the right home daycare, go for it! I feel so lucky to have my little guy where he is. He loves 'Mary'...she is part of our family now! He also loves the few other kids that are there too.
When my little guy is 4, we will move him to a preschool so that he is well prepared for Kindergarten...but I know that will be a sad day!!
