No suggestions here (sorry), but just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Our DS is 19.5 months old and still gets several bottles of milk a day, though he drinks water great out of a sippy throughout the day. We've tried every kind of sippy cup imaginable, and he refuses milk unless its in a bottle. Because he's a peanut and a picky eater, we're not ready to force the issue and go cold turkey. He LOVES his bottle. I talked to his pedi about it at his 18 month appointment (and again today) and she's not concerned, so we aren't either.

No advice here either - DS doesn't take anything but water out of a sippy, so we're still using bottles. I don't really think it's a big deal and so doesn't the pedi, so I'm not concerned.
Unfortunately I have no advice here since DD turns 2 this month and still takes a bottle at bedtime because it is the only way I can get her to drink milk. She will only drink water out of her sippy and I think I have bought ever single one they make out there. Everyone told me to just keep offering it to her and that is what I have done for the last year but no luck Hope you have better luck. Just keep trying
I tried the boxed Horizon flavored milk and she will drink some but not a ton. I know a lot of friends had success with these
We went cold turkey and took all the bottles away. It took my son about 3 days to get back on track and drink the same amount of milk as he did before (well formula really).
This post is kind of refreshing! I'm used to seeing everyone who stopped bottles early.
Just about a week or so ago, I made the decision that it wasn't a big deal. Like you- water in a sippy, will only take milk in a bottle. But only at nap and night time. He doesn't walk around w/ a bottle all day.
He's soothed by the bottle, and, again, I made the "Executive" decision to not be stressed by it anymore and to just let him have his bottle.

DD is 16 months old, and we just went cold turkey 2 weeks ago.She absolutely would NOT drink any milk out of a sippy. You would think it was poison with the face she would make when she realized it was milk in there~lol. The first 4-5 days was rough, and don't get me wrong, she hardly consumed any milk those days, but by the middle of the second week she was drinking full sippys of milk, and we haven't looked back. Just in case you are looking for a sippy, DD loves the nuby https://www.nuby.com/en/nuby/cups-spouts/9900
we went cold turkey also and it took a few days for him to get the hang of it - it was a rough weekend. we also bought 3 or 4 different kinds of sippy cups to see what he liked the best. now he will drink from most of them but he hasn't figured out the one with the straw
DD is 17 months old and just started using the sippy cup exclusively a couple weeks ago. I tried to switch her over at 12 months, like everyone encourages you to do. However, she didn't really take to it and wouldn't drink her milk from it (would drink water, like your son). Ped. just said to keep encouraging her to drink from the sippy, and give a bottle if you have to, but to give it to her in her highchair.
Moral of the story, I wouldn't worry about it. He'll take to it when he's ready, so until then just keep encouraging him.

DD is off the bottle but we were persistent with it. We must have tried 7-8 different cups. Now that we found one, we purchased several "back-ups" but she knows the difference and will ONLY drink from that ONE cup. I hope we never lose it! GL
