40w3d appt total fail

So apparently my baby is breech :( I'm pretty upset right now. I was told the whole time he was head down and he either wasn't or he some how flipped in the past week. I'm scheduled for a c section Friday morning. I'm happy there is an end in sight but I guess no more hopes of a natural birth.

    Aw I'm sorry.  Just make sure they do one last check on Friday morning before the section.  If by some chance he's flipped to head down maybe they'll induce you right then.

    I'm so sorry, I can totally understand how disappointed you may be.  Is there anyway you can get into contact with a local doula who might assist you in some flipping techniques?  I know it's a long shot and short notice, but you never know.

    aw I'm sorry :( I would be upset too. I agree with the PP... hopefully there are flipping techniques that will work and you can still have the birth you had hoped for. Bright side is either way, you will have your baby soon! Good luck :)

    I've heard massage therapists, accupuncture and chiropractors can help. Maybe look in to this?

    That was me with DD. I really wanted a natural childbirth with her and when I went into L&D after my water broke, they told me she was breech after having been head-down for weeks. I was really bummed. On the bright side, the C-section was not nearly as bad as I feared (it probably helped that I was well-rested and had not labored). BF actually went really well. Also, I'm trying for a VBAC now, so maybe that'll be in your future, too. GL!
