Anyone else struggling to eat? Within the last week or so I not only have zero appetite but I almost can't force myself to eat. When I do eat, I am miserably full after just a few bites, or else I feel nauseous. Way earlier on my nutritionist recommended 5 small meals and several snacks....but now I am lucky if I can stomach 1-2 small meals. All I want is water & fruit.
Blah! Other than that, I feel pretty great. How about you ladies?
Re: 35+ weekers
Im with ya! Bug is sitting way up in my ribs, and squashing my stomach so I've been feeling like Im going to puke when I eat for the past couple of weeks.
Tums at night seems to help, otherwise, I ust try to snack and eat healthy when I do eat.
Even though LO is hanging out super low. I haven't been able to eat much. I haven't really had the appetite because food sort of just gets stuck.
Other than that, things are great I haven't slowed down, and we have everything set to go. The only things left are LO's shower next weekend, and delivery.
This! I wish I had that problem. I am starving all the time!
I'll trade you ladies! Eating food is one of my favorite things to do haha....I miss dh's cooking =(
Same here- just got back from my 37 wk appointment and I gained 4 lbs in 1 week!!!!!! yikes!!! I'm blaming it on the water retention and not all of the ice cream ;-)

Yes!! I have no desire to eat (man I hope it continue AFTER pregnancy
I force myself to eat--but alas I am still gaining weight-which is odd--
While i understand how frustrating that must be, especially when you enjoy food hehe, I still have the opposite problem, and I wish I didn't. I've gained a bit more than I wanted to. I wanted to gain 30 max with the pregnancy, but so far... last appt. I was at 34 lbs which means I'll probably gain about 40 lbs total (if I stay on track with a lb a week from then out. ) It's so much harder to get stuff done, I feel so *heavy* and not just the big belly gained it in my legs/thighs too.  Oh well, once you drop you should get more of the appetite back

I'm still gaining even though I am not eating large portions or often. I'm up 25ish pounds at 35 weeks. Goes to show you will still gain what you need, & doing every day task is still just as hard with all the extra weight and belly.....esp with having no energy from not being able to eat
True, if you're not eating as much as you want/probably need to it does make things harder. Hopefully your LO will drop a lil bit so you have a bit more room and can finally enjoy some food again
Hopefully your LO will drop a lil bit so you have a bit more room and can finally enjoy some food again Out of all the Drs. I've seen (it's a practice and you rotate which doctor you see at your appts because you don't know for sure who will be on call when you go into labor so they want you to be comfortable with all of them) only one has said something about my weight, but she's been rather "weight conscious" since the begininng.  I was pretty tiny before hand (not thin thin but normal to maybe a little smaller than... ) and she told me I was the high end of normal.  I was shocked :oP  All the other doctors I've seen though have said my weight gain is on track and it's not a worry.  I was just hoping to keep it around 30 haha.  Oh well.  My stomach has lucked out with no stretchies yet, but I got them on my butt and thighs

Maybe try a breakfast type drink or protein shake type thing so you're getting your protein in at least for some energy?
