Just Venting...

So I was talking to my STBXH on the phone last night and he started crying saying he cries every once in a while because DD isn't there. But yet, he never takes the time to come see her let alone call and see how she's doing. The only reason he was calling me last night was to let me know he would take her Wed. night. Oh and another thing, he has yet to give me a dime for her, but yet he has the money to pay his house payment and motorcycle payment. Nothing more to say, just had to vent. :-)

    my stbx and i are separating.. the baby and I are suppopsed to move out on Saturday and he cries too...wtf are you crying for??? YOU did this! d*ck.

     I am terrified that even though the courts place child support on him, what if he doesn't pay??

    I don't know if every state is like this but they can usually get the money by finding out where he works and taking it from his checks or if he has a bank account they can freeze his accts. Or worse comes to worse you can sign some papers to have him sent to jail. But then again, you definitely wouldn't get your money. Believe me I'm worried about that too.

    My suggestion is to just file and see what happens.  Here's what they can enforce:

    revoking his license, JAIL, wage garnishment, IRS tax refund garnishment, revoking/denying passport (if more than $2K behind), lien on property, and garnishment of bank accounts.

    Sorry, that's all I could remember at the moment. CS is big business for most states, so they do go after these guys.  However, if you get a whiff of where he's working, where he banks, etc then you can call you caseworker and inform them.  

    Just try not to rely or depend on the income.  Unfortunately, some guys really couldn't care less about paying it, so chances are if you DO rely on it, it will just frustrate, disappoint, and stress you out.  You don't need that bs in your life.  

    and OP, tell him he can shove his tears you know where.  I suggest communicating through email only for evidentiary purposes.
