I had no idea it would go so fast! We had our first meeting yesterday (Friday) and it lasted 2 1/2 hours but went so good! I think our case worker answered as many of our questions as we did hers but we really like her! She is 71 and a live wire! I hope I'm like that when I'm 71. So our schedule is my interview alone Friday Oct 10, DH's Oct 17, and our home visit Oct 24!! Holy cow!!!
She said one thing that made me well up inside (but I did a good job not crying!). She said, "The waiting isn't nearly as difficult when you understand that you are not waiting for A child but you are waiting for YOUR child." I am so overwhelmed with emotions!
Re: Homestudy will be finished by the end of the month!
Yeah! Ours too! We have our last meeting- and the home walkthrough this afternoon. Then we have our class in two weeks and she has to have her report written up by the end of the month! I'm glad to see that someone else's study moved quickly, I was amazed at how fast ours has been. Good luck with your interviews, I am sure that you will do great!
What a great social worker- and she's speaks the truth!
That is fantastic that she's making yours a priority and getting it done quickly for you. Some social workers are fantastic like that.
I hope your wait for YOUR little one is a short one.
