If your DC goes to an in home

Do you have a contract/written agreement with them? Just curious if I'm the only one that doesn't have one.

  • I do not. My DCP is more of a babysitter type situation. Maddie has been there since 12 weeks old and she is wonderful. She watches a couple other kids and has never called out and is taking her first vacation since she's ben there. I don't pay when she doesn't go and she's flexible about what time we bring and pick her up.

  • nope, we just have verbal. She's amazing though. I don't "think" anything would go wrong...Just hope I don't learn from that though!
  • We don't have one.

  • Oh yes and I wouldn't got with one that didn't have a contract.  It protects both of us.
  • Not currently (and we've been there almost a year and still think it's a fantastic fit for DS).  We did with our last one.

  • we definitely do - in CA it's required to be licensed. it's more of an agreement of terms of service, outlining policies, etc.
  • yep we have one.  It makes me feel secure.  We didn't with our first DCP and then something came up where I wish we had.  When we got a new one the new DCP had one all ready for us.  It was great.

But I'm a big fan of the People's Court and Judge Milian says to get everything in writing!  lol

  • yes, our in home DCP does written contracts and anytime they make a change to something, such as pricing, we are notified ahead of time and have to sign an addendum to the contract

Yes we do. It's about 8 pages and covers everything imaginable! I know lots that don't though.
  • No.  Not that I would ever use this against her, but her husband works for me.  I'm pretty sure she'd never "screw me over" or whatever.
