Parenting after 35

I think a bunch of babies got together last night...

and planned a party. J, who has STTN for a long time, woke up at 3:30am. I talked to THREE other girlfriends today who had the same trouble last night- at the same exact time. Was your kid part of the party, too? :)

Obviously the kids were not really throwing a party but the thought of it did make me chuckle a bit. :)

  • OMG-Laney was the exact opposite. We went to a ballgame yesterday and she didn't get her her nap. She fell asleep at 7pm (2 hours earlier than normal). I had to wake her sleepy butt up this morning at 6:30am...she would have slept longer if I didn't wake her.

  • Wow that is weird. H wasn't up but has been waking at that time all weekend!
  • Full moon???  Or maybe it's like when a group of women work closely together and their "cycles" sync up!!

M's been waking up around 3 for a while, so he could've been part of that party. Wink
  • I want nothing to do with that party!

Sarah is the exact opposite lately. She has taken to taking naps of 2.5-3 hours each (twice a day) and sleeping for 12 hours at night. I am glad she is not partying with the other babies!

  • Apparently, I was at the baby party! Had a nightmare and woke at 4:30...I looked at the clock and was so disappointed that I had to wait 2 whole hours for Ada to wake so I could cuddle her!

  • Sydney was at that same party the night before last. 3:30 on the nose. That must be when it's happenin'!

  • For a while, Aaron was waking at 3:30.

Amazingly, the last 4 days have been better.  He still wakes once or twice a night, but he's not crying and DH and I will let him fuss a bit and he generally falls back to sleep.

  • Fiona attended that party. She was extremely fussy last night...and she's usually an excellent sleeper. Husband and I will be zombies today.
  • No, and thank God for that!  Actually, Keira was the opposite.  She took a 2 1/2 nap as usual during the day on Sunday, but was so cranky and tired that we put her to bed 1/2 hour early at 8:00.  Normally she wakes up between 7 and 7:30, but when I woke up at 8:30 yesterday morning (shocked and running late, because Keira is my alarm clock), she was still asleep.  I had to wake her up because we had her pedi appointment yesterday morning, so who knows how long she would have slept otherwise.

The worst/most embarrasing part is that I normally use Monday morning to clean up the mess from the weekend before the nanny gets there.  So I had to apologize to our nanny about Sunday's dishes being piled in the sink and the fact that Keira's toys and books were strewn about everywhere in the living room.  Embarrassed
