ammonia smell in diapers

My BGs have started smelling like really strong ammonia after DS wets and are starting to make his skin red.  I still use the microfiber inserts and haven't had a problem until now.  How can I get the ammonia out of them?? Thanks!

    Boil them and then use vinegar in the wash to keep the ammonia at bay.

    thanks! boil just the inserts or the whole diaper? The outer pocket part doesn't seem like it would do well in boiling water

    Just the inserts since those are what hold the smell.  Don't know whether the shells would hold up to boiling but I would also be wary to try.

    I stuck a bunch of inserts in a bucket with tons of vinegar (like half the big jug) and some water and left them overnight (Saturday night).  Washed the next morning and the stink is gone.  Used a couple of the inserts overnight last night and no stink this morning!
